OFFICIAL RULES
ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PRIZE. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. Open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, officers, volunteers, and directors of UniWyo Credit Union (the “Sponsor”), and members of the immediate families (spouse, children, parents, siblings) and persons living in the same household (whether or not related) of such employees, officers, volunteers, and directors are not eligible.
PROMOTION PERIOD: The Promotion begins on December 5th, 2024 and ends at 11:59 pm MST on January 31st, 2025.
TO ENTER: All individuals opening a new account with the Sponsor during the Promotion Period will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes. Additionally, individuals can enter by submitting an online application. To enter via the online application visit https://www.uniwyo.com/Connect/Community/$5000-Cash-Giveaway, access the sweepstakes entry form, complete the entry form and submit as directed. Entries must be received by Sponsor’s server by 11:59 pm MST on Friday, January 31, 2025. Sponsor’s server is the official clock for this promotion. There is a limit of one entry per person, regardless of method used to enter.
DRAWING: A random drawing will be conducted by the Sponsor or a designated agent of Sponsor on February 6th, 2025.
PRIZE: The sweepstakes prize will be $5,000 in cash. There will only be one winner. If selected potential winner does not meet above listed Eligibility requirements, then prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn in a separate random drawing. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: The potential winner will be notified via phone. If the potential winner is not available, a voicemail will be left. Additional attempts to contact potential winner are at Sponsor’s discretion. A potential winner will be required to initiate contact with Sponsor (if initial call is missed), provide proof of their identity in the form of a government issued ID, and sign an IRS W-9 Form within 3 business days of the original notification to them or they will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner will be drawn in a separate random drawing.
Tax Consequences: Winner is responsible for all federal, state, local, and income taxes associated with the winning prize. Winner will be required to fill out an IRS W-9 Form and furnish their Social Security Number for the sole purpose of preparation of tax forms as required by law.
Use of Image and Likeness: Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video tape, photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.
CONDITIONS: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants and prize winners agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final in all respects and not subject to appeal. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify permanently from this Sweepstakes any entrant it believes has violated these Official Rules and verify eligibility of entrants. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants, and prize winners release the Sponsor from any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, and/or the receipt or use/misuse of any prize awarded, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, death or property damage. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Additionally, Sponsor is not responsible and shall not be liable for: a) telephone, electronic, hardware or software or program, network, or Internet or computer malfunction, or any communications accessibility, availability or lines, or technical errors of any kind or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such or similar information; b) failed, incomplete, garbled, corrupted or delayed computer transmissions; c) lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible entries or postage-due mail, entries or email; or d) any condition caused by events that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the promotion or any portion thereof should computer hardware or software malfunctions (such as but not limited to virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures) or any other causes corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion, and select the winners from entries received prior to the action taken or in such other manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Web Site users, tampering, hacking or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion and assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or technical error or unauthorized access to the Web Site. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the promotion or Web Site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; to be acting in violation of the terms of the Web Site, or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Releases are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials or programs or software to any computer, or downloading materials from or use of the Web Site. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, third party, or like entry methods, will disqualify all entries using such methods. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. Entry information and entries become property of Sponsor. In case of dispute, the authorized subscriber of email account used to enter the Promotion, at actual time of entry, will be deemed to be participant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses. No prize transfer or cash redemption or substitution, but Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with prize of equal or greater value should prize become unavailable.
PRIVACY: Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy located at https://www.uniwyo.com/Privacy.
ARBITRATION/CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited, entrants agree that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion, or any prize awarded, or the determination of the winner, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the Rules of the American Arbitration Association, then effective, and (2) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and/or Sponsor in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in the State of Wyoming.
